The
Velodrome was opened in 1994 and has hosted 12 of the World Masters
Track Championships. There is ample free parking at the stadium.
(This may be limited if there are any football matches at the nearby
Manchester City Football Ground and if these are scheduled we will
advise the procedure for your easy access)
The track is made of Siberian Pine and is 250 metres and has a
banking of 42%. The track was resurfaced in 2007. There are starting gates in operation for the individual
time trial, pursuit and team sprint - if you wish to practice starts
with them
these will be available at the end of each of all of the official
training sessions on the day prior to the Championships.
