 Mens Pursuit 30–34
Joel Stewart of Great Britain. won the Gold medal in the Men’s 30-34 Pursuit when he crossed the line in 3.36.293 minutes. The Silver medal was won by Ray Clarke of Ireland when he completed the pursuit in 3.36.521 minutes.
The Bronze medal was won by Simon Coughlan of Ireland when he beat Ed Nicholson of Great Britain. Simon finished in 3.32.364 minutes while Ed Nicholson finished in 3.37.922 minutes.
Simon Coughlan consistently pulled away from Ed Nicholson of Great Britain to win the Bronze medal in a time six seconds faster than his qualification round.
The closest race of the evening was left until last and saw Joel Stewart and Ray Clarke battle it out over the 3000m Individual Pursuit. Only half a second separated these two riders in the qualification heats, so this race had all the hallmarks of a close finish. Clarke was fastest off the start and took the early lead of 0.5 seconds over Stewart after the first km - this came down to 0.4 seconds after 2km. Stewart just overhauled the advantage over the final lap to take the title.

 Mens Pursuit 35–39
Kenny Williams of U.S.A took the Gold medal in the Men’s 35-39 Pursuit when he caught Wolfgang Kotzmann of Austria near the finish line after 3.22.021 minutes. Kenny Williams then went on to finish in 3.24.837 and set a new World Masters Best Time. Wolfgang Kotzmann took the Silver medal.
Kenny Williams dominated the race for the Gold as he consistently pulled away from Wolfgang Kotzmann to retain his title from 2005 in a catch just before his finish line. He shaved seven hundredths of a second off his own World Masters Best Time, set previously in 2004 at this event.
The Bronze medal was won by Paul O’Mahoney of Great Britain when he narrowly beat Olaf Schnaar of Germany. Paul finished in 3.34.255 minutes while Olaf Schnaar finished in 3.34.354 minutes.
In a very close race for the Bronze medal, Paul O’Mahoney just held off the challenge from Olaf Schnaar of Germany who was finishing much quicker of the two riders.

 Mens Sprint 50–54
Gordon Singleton of Canada stormed across the finish line in 12.689 seconds to take the Gold medal, followed by Richard Voss of U.S.A who won the Silver medal and Steve Cronshaw of Great Britain won the Bronze medal.
Cronshaw started his final sprint very early, but couldn’t hold off the challenge of the other two riders in the final lap, with Singleton crossing the line first ahead of Voss

 Mens Sprint 55–59
The Gold medal was won by Patrick Gellineau of U.S.A when he finished the Sprint in 12.947 seconds. Kevin Worley of U.S.A took the Silver medal and the Bronze medal was won by Carlos Enrique Reybaud of Argentina.
In a very tightly fought race, Gellineau managed to find space on the track to pass between the two other riders in the final sprint and take the title, just pipping Worley on the line.

 Mens Points 65-69
The 65-69 Points Race was won by Keith Oliver of Australia when he accrued 15 points. The Silver medal was taken by Manfred Nepp of Germany who scored 13 points and Otto Altweck of Germany won the Bronze medal with 8 points.
This race saw the pack stick together, despite a couple of break away attempts, which played into the hands of the sprinters in the field when it came to picking up the points. Keith Oliver and defending champion Otto Altweck featured in each of the four sprints to take the medals along with Manfred Nepp.
Keith Oliver won the Gold medal to add the Points title to the Individual Time trial he won earlier on in the week.

 Mens Points 70+
Dennis Blunden of Australia took the Gold medal when he finished with 12 points. The Silver medal was won by Roger Smith of Great Britain when he finished with 9 points and Keith Harrison, from the U.S.A, won the Bronze medal with 9 points.
Roger Smith made a big solo effort to lap the field with 15 laps to go of the 40 lap race and quickly went half a lap up. He was joined by Dennis Blunden after the penultimate sprint with 10 laps to go, which also fragmented the field. These two stayed ahead of the field, with Blunden taking the Gold ahead of Smith due to the points he had gained earlier on in the race. Smith’s determination saw him get the Silver ahead of Keith Harrison, both finishing with the same number of points.

Womens Sprint 40+
Janet Birkmyre of Great Britain crossed the finish line in 13.277 seconds to take the Gold medal, closely followed by Annette Hanson of U.S.A who won the Silver medal and Joanne Fenwick of Great Britain won the Bronze medal.
Janet Birkmyre continued her tactic of dominating the race from the front of the field and lead the race from start to finish, holding off a strong sprint from both of the other competitors.
Janet makes it three Gold medals out of three so far this week, adding to her earlier Points and Individual Time Trial titles.
During the Qualifying Round, Joanne Fenwick set a new World Masters Best Time for the 50+ age category of 12.893 seconds. She also achieved a new World Masters Best Time in competition of 13.527 in Round 1 (subject to ratification).
