 Men's Points 60–64
The Men’s 60-64 Points race was won by Sean Bannister of Great Britain when he scored 20 points to take the Gold medal. The Silver medal was won by Max Pendleton of Great Britain when he totalled 17 points. John Moss also of South Africa scored 16 points to take the Bronze medal.

Max Pendleton took a well-timed early break away from the field to pick up full points in the first sprint. Shortly afterwards, Sean Bannister lead the next solo attack and brought Pendleton, Albert Meriadec & John Moss with him to take the points in the next sprint between them. These four riders then gained a lap on the field to get back in the bunch before the next sprint. Bannister then took points in the next sprint to give him a single point lead over Pendleton with one sprint to go. Defending champion, Geoff Cooke retired from the race after managing to get back in after a puncture. In the final ten laps, Pendleton attacked the field again but was hauled back by Bannister for them to then ride in the same group. Bannister took advantage of a lead out from another rider to gain points ahead of Pendleton on the line and take the title.

Keith Oliver of Australia won the Gold medal when he crossed the finish line in 2.32.660 minutes. Otto Altweck of Germany took the Silver medal with a time of 2.37.795 minutes. The Bronze medal was won by Brian Newton of Great Britain when he completed the Pursuit in 2.39.856 minutes beating David South of Australia who finished with a time of 2.45.155 minutes.

Only 0.2 seconds separated David South from Australia and Brian Newton from Great Britain for third and fourth places after the qualification round. In the final ride-off, Newton had the faster start to lead by three seconds at the half way point. Newton continued to extend his lead to take the Bronze medal.

The competition for the Gold medal was between Keith Oliver of Australia, who had set a new World Masters Best Time in qualification of 2.32.437, and defending champion Otto Altweck of Germany. Oliver had the faster start and was over a second quicker at the half way point. He continued to steadily take distance out of Altweck to win the Gold medal to finish with a time just outside of his record.

  Men's Pursuit 70+
The Gold medal was won by Dennis Blunden of Australia when he crossed the finish line in 2.43.432 minutes and set a new World Masters Best Time in competition. Keith Harrison of U.S.A. took the Silver medal with a time of 2.46.151 minutes. The Bronze medal was won by Delroy Walters of U.S.A. when he beat Roy Savery of Great Britain with a time of 2.51.483 minutes.

Dennis Blunden also set a new World Masters Best Time in the qualification round when he completed the pursuit in 2.43.909. He then beat this time in the final.

Delroy Walters and Roy Savery of Great Britain competed in the ride off for the Bronze medal. Walters has already won the Sprint and Individual Time Trial in his age category this week and was looking to add another medal to his tally. He had the faster start to get Savery in his sights by half way. He then continued to sit at a similar distance ahead of his opponent to take the Bronze medal.
Dennis Blunden and Keith Harrison took to the track for the Gold medal ride. Both riders had a similarly paced ride with Blunden gradually increasing his lead to add the Pursuit title to the Points title earlier on in the week and lowering his own World Masters Best Time in the process.

 Women's Pursuit 30–39
The Gold medal was won by Siobhan Mullan of Great Britain when she finished in 2.41.388 minutes. Anne Rautio of Finland took the Silver medal when she completed the Pursuit in 2.42.098 minutes. The Bronze medal was won by Melanie Williams of Great Britain when she completed the 2000m distance in 2.41.667 minutes.

The ride-off for the Bronze medal was an all-British affair with Melanie Williams against Jeanette Baxter. Baxter took a slender early lead but Williams was in front by half distance. Williams continued to pull away and had Baxter comfortably in her sights when she took the Bronze medal.

It was a close and tactical race for the Gold medal between Siobhan Mullan and Anne Rautio. Mullan had a faster start to lead after the first lap but it was all square after two laps. At the half way point, Mullan trailed by 0.4 seconds, but Mullan started to pull it back immediately and regained the lead with 2 laps to go. In a very close final sprint, Mullan took the title by less than a second.

Annette Hanson of U.S.A won the Gold medal when she crossed the finish line in 2.35.517 minutes and caught Janet Birkmyre of Great Britain in 2.11.885 minutes. The Bronze medal was won by Gail Wozny of Canada when she beat Elizabeth Clayton of Great Britain with a time of 2.44.764 minutes.Annette Hanson and Janet Birkmyre had a great tussle for the Gold medal. Hanson took an advantage of ten seconds into the final, so Birkmyre went off very quickly from the start to build up a lead of over two seconds in the first two laps. Hanson, however, soon overturned the advantage to get Birkmyre in her sights and achieve the catch with just over a lap to go. Hanson continued in an attempt to beat her own World Masters Best Time, set at this event in 2004, but was unsuccessful.

Less than a second separated Gail Wozny from Canada and Elizabeth Clayton from Great Britain in their qualifying heat. Wozny was just over a second ahead at the half way point in the ride off for the Bronze medal. Clayton had the faster finish but was unable to make too much impact on Wozny’s lead, with Wozny taking the Bronze medal by less than a second.

The Gold medal was won by Emi Wachi of Japan when she finished the Pursuit in 2.43.677 minutes. Petra Kluender of Germany took the Silver medal when she finished in 2.46.952 minutes. Patrizia Spadaccini of Italy succeeded in taking the Bronze medal when she finished in 2.43.590 minutes, beating Lillian Pfluke of U.S.A. who finished in 2.46.204 minutes.

Emi Wachi was the faster qualifier by over three seconds over Petra Kluender in the heat. She had a faster start and soon got Kluender in her sights. Kluender started to pull away again in the final two laps, but Wachi had built up too much of a lead and took the Gold medal by over two seconds.

Patrizia Spaddaccini was the faster qualifier over Lilian Pfluke from the USA. She retained this form in the ride off for the Bronze medal as she gradually pulled away from her opponent during the final.

Louella Holter of U.S.A. succeeded in taking the Bronze medal when she finished in 2.54.233 minutes, beating Ann Staley of Great Britain who finished in 2.59.722 minutes.

Three seconds separated Louella Holter and Anne Staley from Great Britain in the qualifying round. In the ride off for the Bronze medal, Holter retained her form to take the Bronze medal by over five seconds.

Less than a second separated Donna Smith and Evelyn Kenyon in the qualifying round. In the final, Smith had the faster start but Kenyon finished faster to turn the advantage around and be in the lead with 2 laps to go. Smith found some more speed over the last lap, but just failed to regain the lead, with Kenyon taking the title and less than half a second separating the riders over the line.

 Alan Geldard Trophy

Garry Hill of Great Britain won the Geldard Trophy race and completed the 32 laps in 10.32.195 minutes. Woody Cox of U.S.A. took second place and Scott Butler of U.S.A was third.

This is the five mile scratch race for competitors over 50 years. The start of the race saw a steady pace with nobody wanting to take an early attack. A group of three riders broke away for the first prime with Steve Davies taking it. The field then quickly came back together again and stayed that way until the second prime, which was taken by Graham Charlton. The field was together again when several riders came down on the inside of the pack. Shortly afterwards, Garry Hill took an early attack for the title with 5 laps to go and quickly got 1/3 of a lap lead. With three laps to go, Patrick Gellineau took up the attack at the head of the field when Hill had half a lap lead. Hill started to tie up on the final lap, but had a sufficient lead to take the title.

 Muratti Cup 10 Mile Scratch

Sergio Gili of Argentina brought the 2006 World Masters Track Cycling Championships to a close when he won the Muratti Cup. He finished the 65 lap race in 20.14.855 minutes. Shaun Wallace of Great Britain came second and George Hertner of U.S.A. was third.

A supreme performance from Sergio Gili of Argentina saw him take the Muratti Cup by being the only rider to lap the field. There were many attacks in this fast paced race, but the rest of the field chased down all other attacks. Gili gained his lap with 27 laps still to go, and was instrumental in chasing down in a late attack in the final ten laps to defend his lead. The final sprint to the line for the minor placings was won by Shaun Wallace, closely followed by George Hertner and the rest of the pack.
