2010 Masters Dates Announced Shortly

legro
The highlight of the week was undoubtably the Brian Cossavella Memorial Scratch which was won by Boyd Roberts of Great Britain with a dominating ride that saw him even gain a lap on the Austrian Wolfgang Kotzman.
We will be posting news about 2010 as soon as we have details and confirmation of the events. In the meantime, we will as usual be compiling a gallery of the medal winners. Check back for regular updates over the next few weeks. In the meantime, anyone who has not ordered a CD of their images from the event can still do so by emailing steve.walton@moovingstill.com. Price is £30 for all images of a single rider. As approximately 5,500 images were taken at the event, its not possible to upload a gallery, but you can view previous years galleries for sample images.
The Masters organisation wishes to thank all riders, helpers, sponsors and of course officials who make the event possible. Next year we will be back, bigger and better. Until then Au Revoir, Ciao, Guten Tag

Manchester City Councillor Mike Amesbury, Executive Member for Arts & Leisure has given the Championships his support and stated "On behalf of Manchester City Council I am delighted to welcome back Europe's elite Masters cyclists for the second European Masters Track Championships. This event forms a valuable part of Manchester's Major Sports Event Strategy and kicks off an exciting time for the City's many cycling fans who are also looking forward to the first Skyride on 2nd August plus further elite cycling events coming thick and fast in the autumn with the National Track Championships, Track World Cup Classic and Paracycling World Championships all at the Manchester Velodrome."

Masters track cycling is open to men and women competitors over the age of 30 who compete in 5 year age bands 30-34, 35-39 and so on right up to 70 years plus. Competition is fiercely competitive but friendly nonetheless. Great camaraderie exists between the riders and lifelong friendships are formed between competitors of all nationalities.
